Why should Frédéric Martins become the Marketing Leader(ship) of the Year?

 

Frédéric is currently Head of Media at ING Belgium & Senior Digital Marketing Consultant at ING Global. He has 18 years of experience in various sectors such as e-gaming, media and indeed banking. Frédéric is also a very active member of the Belgian marketing community, being, among others, president of IAB.

Many strong elements came out of Frédéric’s submission file to the Selection Committee and then of his presentation to the Jury, but if there is only one to mention here, that is his constant and consistent quest to learn and then apply what he has learnt, on media, communication, programmatic marketing, innovation, and even, can you believe it from a marketer, in finance.

When asked what his tips to become a successful marketer are, Frédéric answers:

  • Stretch your skills but keep a balance between rational & emotional aspects
  • Find good ideas but above all find the people to make these good ideas happen
  • Have a positive attitude regarding changes
  • Stay curious and motivated to test new things
  • Keep willingness to deliver measurable impact
  • Identify an efficient way to ask and use help
